ADSTools is an NTFS utility to find, create and use Alternate Data Streams on systems with Windows operating systems. Most experts say that Alternate Data Streams are a hidden threat, and thatТ‘s true, but making and using Alternate Data Streams on your computer system can be very useful...ADSTools is the ultimate tool for finding, creating and using Alternate Data Stream (ADS) Files on NTFS file systems.ADS files are potentially harmful. They are hidden and cannot be detected by many antivirus and spyware programs. ADSTools finds all the Alternate Data Stream files which are on your system, gives you the ability to examine their contents and, if necessary, to remove them. It also allows you to make and use ADS files to hide sensitive data. Features: • Find all Alternate Data Stream files on your system and be able to check for threats like spyware or malware. • Check on how much disk space ADS files are occupying - Windows Explorer canТ‘t tell you. • View, edit, move, copy, rename, delete and run all existing ADS files. • Make Alternate Data Stream files for your own use - ADS files are ideal for hiding passwords and sensitive data. CAUTION: ADSTools is a powerful program which should be used with extreme caution. Because of this and because the developers can have control over how the software will be used, the developers will take NO resposibility for any loss or damage to your computer or its software, however caused. ADSTools is not for everybody to use. Ideally, the user should be at least reasonably compuer literate and comfortable with performing most file and system operations. It is recommended only for experienced, careful users.ADSTools is also available for Windows Vista. Download the file here.
